Estes dias, discutindo na comunidade do Black Label Society do orkut, tentei chegar à conclusão do que pode ser considerado “Música para Macho”. Cheguei à seguinte conclusão: você ouve a música e tem vontade de beber, comer um torresmo, peidar, arrumar briga (de bar, não de pitboy, aquelas tretas de bebado mesmo), arrotar alto, apertar uma bunda (mas nao uma bundinha durinha de modelo fresquinha, uma bunda grande de uma mina que goste da coisa)… essas coisas. Ai eu considero apto a entrar no música para macho. Eu acho que a banda que vou falar aqui resume bem tudo isso, o Hogjaw.
Pra começar, o nome da banda: Mandíbula de Javali! Cara, javali é uma carne deliciosa e, certamente, os integrantes da banda devem comer no café da manhã! Duvida? Olha a cara dos fulanos:
Ela me foi apresentada na própria comunidade do BLS e foi logo absorvida pela meu gosto um tanto bizarro.
O estilo de som dos caras é o famoso rockão do sul, a exemplo dos já citados Nashville Pussy. Mas é um rock muito bem recheado, com riffs muito bons e que não enjoa com facilidade. Passa próximo ao country, mas deixa bem claro as influências de Lynyrd Skynyrd, mas ao mesmo tempo dá pra sentir uma pegada próximo ao próprio Black Label Society ou, talvez, o Down. É um som bem completo, acho que posso considerar um grande achado da indústria fonográfica. Me faz crer novamente na música em pleno século XXI. Eu não estou exagerando, não! Achei o som incrível mesmo! Mas, só experimentando pra saber, então ai vai o vídeo da Gitsum. Reparem nos trabucos dos caras!
Lançaram seu primeiro álbum “Devil in the Details” em agosto de 2008 e já começaram muito bem! Infelizmente no Brasil não saiu nada sobre a banda. Aliás, se não fosse os amigos garimpadores da Internet, não saberia nem da existência dessa banda simplesmente incrível! Mas essa é minha opinião, né… Se alguem discordar, por favor coloquem nos comentários suas ressalvas.
E, mais do que nunca, vamos abrir uma cerveja e comemorar essa banda maravilhosa! Saúde, amigos beberrões!
