O primeiro contato com o Jet Ski acontece principalmente através de amigos ou em competições na praia, que sempre acontecem, o que gera bastante curiosidade e admiração com o esporte. Para quem pretende começar a praticar o esporte, o melhor a fazer é usar um Jet Ski Standard e se inscrever nas categorias para iniciantes da BJSA, onde apenas os iniciantes da área competem.
O problema do esporte, é que a lei é muito rígida quanto ao uso dos Jet Ski, a Carta de Araes, que é uma espécie de carteira de habilitação para Jet Ski, só pode ser concedida a maiores de 18 anos. Menores de 18 anos podem entrar em competições, mas com a autorização prévia dos pais, e uma liminar de um juiz.
Não tenho informação de valor, mas para fazer a Carta de Araes é necessário levar até a Associação Brasileira de Jet Ski o seu CPF e Carteira de Identidade, para menores de 18 anos, precisa levar esses documentos junto à liminar do juiz, acompanhado dos pais.
Os principais equipamentos de segurança são (necessário em competições):
- Colete salva-vidas específico para a modalidade
- Capacete com queixeixa
Existem Jet Ski´s para cada categoria, então confira se o seu está de acordo com a competição. Além disso, existe um treino-avaliação, onde os juizes da competição ficam de olho para ver quem está realmente apto à competir.
O Brasil é o 2º colocado no ranking mundial de Jet Ski, está atrás apenas dos EUA. O Brasil possui grandes pilitos, que estão se dando muito bem na competição.
Existem outras competições estaduais pelo Brasil afora, e o campeão brasileiro tem vaga garantida no campeonato mundial que ocorre todo ano no Arizona.
Jet Ski é um esporte bastante admirado e interessante de se praticar.
